This grant is available to college students who have proved financial need and are willing to volunteer 10 hours per week during the academic year and 280 total hours during the summer. Scholarship rewards granted at the end of service are roughly $6,000, or you can accept a cash award of $1,800. During your service, you will be paid a stipend. You must be willing to devote a year of your time to a nonprofit or government group. This service program, which includes a scholarship, is open to students aged 17 and up. There are no specific constraints on the type of work you can submit for these awards, but you should be able to demonstrate long-term commitment and how you've had an impact. The scholarships in this list are for students who have volunteered for several hours. In these cases, I've placed them in the most restrictive category. Some of these scholarships should be considered in more than one category (such as a social activism scholarship that also requires a high GPA). Many of these scholarships are available to students who have participated in any type of community service, as long as you can demonstrate significant involvement. The scholarships listed below are organized by type of community service or other specific requirements. The Full List Of Community Service Scholarships
